Mertik Maxitrol is a member of an international group of companies that designs and manufactures safety controls, pressure regulators, combination controls, and electronic modulation systems for use in gas heating and process applications. Mertik Maxitrol sells in more than 50 countries worldwide. Due to our growing business, we have an excellent career opportunity in our Purchasing Department.
Responsibilities
- Initiate requests for quotations for purchased parts/components to optimize cost savings.
- Purchasing and maintaining inventory of parts/components at manufacturing facility as well as associated tooling/manufacturing costs to produce parts/components.
- Maintaining all supplier selection and performance evaluations, including site visitation.
- Communication with plant production and quality personnel regarding parts/components issues, including production and quality meetings.
- All aspects of Supply Chain Management, and any other various projects as determined by the Director of Purchasing.

Qualifications
- Interest in and understanding of technically sophisticated products used in the gas appliance industry and/or gas supply.
- Excellent communication, problem solving and time management skills.
- Verbal and written English skills, additional language skills a plus.

Education
- College degree (technical degree or Master’s a plus), or comparable experience.
- Must have computer skills in MS Office, preferable SAP/R3 experience.
